I worked at the Sandy's in Peru, Ill. during the early 70s. I still have my name badge and a paper cap, and will photograph them and send at another time. The address was on Shooting Park Road in Peru, and the manager was Walter Zukowski.

Got some great info on Sandy's in Peru, IL..... Friday night I decided to do a little Sandy's hunting before the trip to Peru. I saw where Dan P. noted it was on Shooting Park Road, so I did a map search, found Shooting Park Road and started scanning the buildings with bird's eye view. I only scanned a couple when I found the roof wings! Unmistakable!
I was convinced, but I couldn't see what the name of the business was. On the way back this afternoon, we swung through Peru and I looked for what I thought might be it, and found it almost as easy as the one online. Here is your Sandy's Peru, all covered up with new facade....with BEAMS! Centrue Bank at 1311 Shooting Park Road. See attached photos. I tried to get shots of the beams as best as I could, but the lighting was terrible and the snow cast a dreadful reflection on the glass.
