Dr. Forrest Edkin played Eddie Forrest, The Singin Sheriff for three years, most likely from 1953 through 1956, on WOC TV 5 and WOC TV 6, Davenport, Iowa.
He would present a song, singing with his acoustic guitar during his fifteen minute program. Occasionally family members would join in and sing as well on live TV.
Dr. Edkin was one of many chiropractors who studied at Palmer School of Chiropractic and worked at WOC. Palmer was owned by the Palmer family and WOC was encouraged to hire the students to help them out during their time at the college.
